Paul Krugman, Nobel Laureate
One of my favorite living economists, Paul Krugman of Princeton University, has just been awarded the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.I regularly read Krugman's Monday and Friday columns in the New York Times, learning considerably from them most recently about the moves taken by the British to cope with the freeze-up in the world's credit markets.
For a summary of the work for which the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences recognized Krugman, you can go here (pdf).
